Corrosion Inhibitor Additive will keep your recirculator radiator and coil free of performance-killing oxides. We tend to think of aluminum and copper as being fairly corrosion-resistant in general–and in general, they are. The aluminum in the radiator corrodes very quickly in water, unless the PH is perfect. and that’s difficult to do, and nearly impossible to keep it that way. Copper does much better in water than aluminum, but it also forms oxides. In the coil this is significant, because copper oxides are not conductive. With over 100 amps flowing through that 3.2mm tubing, it’s crucial to keep it clean and keep that fluid moving.
It also contains a surface tension reducer, which makes the water ‘wetter’. The surfactant allows the water to move more freely through small spaces like the work coil and the radiator fins, thereby increasing heat removal.
